This marriage anniversary set comes with a pair of black chopsticks, which are 23cm(9in), and red chopsticks, which are 20.5cm(8.1in). The upper part of the black chopsticks are coated with gold and adorned with glittery silver dots. The red pair are coated in an elegant champagne color decorated with the same silver-dotted design.
The chopsticks come in a simple paulownia wooden box, and are wrapped with a Japanese "noshi (traditional Japanese gift label)" with marriage written in Japanese characters.
This chopstick set is made by Ishida, which has been making Wakasa lacquer for over 80 years. Wakasa lacquerware is a traditional craft of Obama City, Fukui Prefecture, and has been around since the early Edo period (1603-1867).

Wakasa lacquer chopsticks are traditional lacquered chopsticks from Obama City, Fukui Prefecture, with a history of about 400 years. It currently accounts for more than 80% of the national share of domestically produced lacquered chopsticks. Wakasa lacquer chopsticks was designated as a "traditional craft" on February 6, 1978 in recognition of its advanced techniques. It is characterized by their unique three-dimensional patterns created by applying layers of colored lacquer made of shells and eggshells. It was sometimes called "jewel lacquering" because of the noble shine of the patterns that represented the ocean floor.
