Express your warm wishes with MUSUBI KILN's "Happy Holidays!" card. It can be sent as it is or attached to a gift.
A cool and refreshing yellow, reminiscent of the Ominaeshi flower, one of the seven flowers of autumn. This beautiful color has been cherished since the Heian period (794 CE – 1185 CE) and was traditionally worn in autumn.
Chidori, the two small birds seen flying in the sky, are not a specific type of bird but a general term for small birds living near water. The pattern has been treasured from days of old, and when combined with wave patterns, it symbolizes overcoming challenges together, representing marital harmony and household safety. This holiday card also incorporates "Seigaiha," a wave pattern, making it auspicious for the holiday season.
The design of the card is inspired by the "Genji Monogatari-zu Byobu" or Tale of Genji Scrolls, a national treasure that is often described as one of the most important works in Japanese art history. It vividly portrays the scenes from "The Tale of Genji" written by Murasaki Shikibu (973 CE - 1014 or 1025 CE).
We also have "Happy Birthday" and "Thank You" greeting cards, so please choose the one that best suits your purpose.
