Have your children enjoy their daily cup of juice or tea with this cute Hasami ware small cup from Oshin Kiln. This small cup comes in an adorable soft pink color with cute rabbit faces on the sides. Three yellow polka dots mark the edge of the cup. The inside of the cup is a natural white color, making it easy to see how much to pour into the cup.
The cup is sized for small hands and, even without a handle, is easy to hold. The edges are smoothly rounded, making the touch of the cup to the mouth comfortable and safe.
Use this cup not only for beverages but also for serving yogurt or cereal in the morning. A healthy snack of grapes or strawberries would look appetizing in this cup as well. And after dinner, use it to serve small portions of ice cream or pudding. Quite a versatile item that can be used all throughout the day.
Unlike plastic or melamine, Hasami ware porcelain has a beautiful shine that highlights the drawings on the item. Make a set for your little ones with the matching plate and rice bowl. These items will also make wonderful gifts.

Maker / Brand
Oshin Kiln was established in 1685 as a kiln of the Omura Domain and produced many ceramics throughout the Edo (1603 CE–1868 CE) and Meiji (1868 CE–1912 CE) periods. According to the Goson-ki, an old document of the Omura clan, Oshin Kiln had thirty-nine kiln chambers and a total length of 170 m (558 ft).
The current Oshin Kiln, rebuilt in the Showa period (1926 CE–1989 CE) on the site of the former kiln, is said to be the largest and longest climbing kiln in the world. Today’s Oshin Kiln aims for further creative development while passing on the techniques and thoughts of its predecessor potters.
Crafts
Hasami ware is a traditional Japanese ceramic produced in Hasami Town, often called the "Town of Pottery," located in Nagasaki Prefecture, Kyushu. For over 400 years, it has been cherished as durable and practical tableware for everyday use.
It is known for its vibrant hand-painted designs on a pure white porcelain base—an iconic feature of Japanese porcelain. While Hasami ware continues to honor traditional patterns, artisans are constantly creating new designs that suit contemporary lifestyles, blending timeless beauty with modern functionality.
