A beautiful soba choko cup and saucer with a modern arrangement of a traditional old Imari pattern decorated with waves and phoenixes.
The authentic feel of old Imari is created with the perfect balance of vivid colors, gold and white. It depicts a phoenix flying over a pattern called seigaiha (blue ocean waves). A plum blossoms pattern is also drawn next to each other, creating a festive atmosphere with a combination of auspicious patterns.

Origin
Hasami Ware is a Japanese pottery produced in Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture, in the Kyushu region located in western Japan known as the “Town of Pottery”. It has been loved as durable daily tableware for folks for a long time since more than 400 years ago.
Hasami Ware is Characterized by the vibrant color drawings on the beautiful pure white porcelain as is typical Japanese porcelain style. Although the traditional patterns are inherited, new designs are being created every day that suit for modern lifestyles.

Soba Choko Cups

Soba choko on the larger side are similar in size to yunomi cups, making them just right for casual tea drinking, while those on the smaller side are closer to guinomi cups, perfect for elegant sips of sake.
