Rinkuro Kiln Old Imari Waves and Phoenix Hasami Soba Choko Cup and Saucer
A beautiful soba choko cup and saucer with a modern arrangement of a traditional Old Imari pattern decorated with waves and phoenixes.
It is made by Rinkuro Kiln from Hasami ware which is light, durable and easy-to-use. Hasami ware is popularly used in both restaurants and homes.
The authentic feel of Old Imari is created with the perfect balance of vivid colors, gold and white. It depicts a phoenix flying over a pattern called " Seigaiha" (blue ocean waves). A plum blossoms pattern is also drawn next to each other, creating a festive atmosphere with a combination of auspicious patterns.
It can be used not only as a soba choko cup, but also for desserts such as ice cream, "Anmitsu," yogurt and fruit. The saucer can also be used as a small plate, perfect for placing confections or side dishes.
