This stunning fan-shaped plate is designed with a modern interpretation of the traditional classic patterns of old Imari.

It is made by Rinkuro Kiln from Hasami ware, which is light, durable and easy-to-use.  Hasami ware is popularly used in both restaurants and homes.

This plate is well-designed exactly like an open folding-fan with slight undulations on the plate and the wooden frames illustrated with black lines.

The plate is beautifully painted with a mythical phoenix with its golden and scarlet long tail along amongst a variety of traditional Japanese designs such as chrysanthemums,  peonies and pine trees. All attractively expressed in circular patterns outlined in blue.

Use it to plate tempura or to serve appetizers. This plate would be wonderful to use for a celebratory occasion, especially a Japanese New Year's meal.

This plate is so lovely, it could be put on a stand and used as a home decor item in a living room or an entrance.
