A set of three small celadon three-footed plates in the shapes of a pine tree, a fan, and a gourd. These shapes are auspicious patterns and loved by the Japanese. The beautiful hues unique to celadon porcelain will bring out the beauty of your dining table. These small plates are useful for serving small amounts of condiments (sliced green onions, wasabi, etc.), delicacies, or dried sweets. They are also good for placing small items such as accessories. It can be used not only as a small plate but also as a chopstick rest. It is a product that will add a gorgeous color to your table.

To explain briefly about auspicious patterns, pine trees are evergreen trees that grow in harsh environments such as sandy soil and rocky terrain, and they produce fresh green leaves even in the middle of winter. It is considered a symbol of longevity and a lucky pattern because of its ability to last for 1,000 years. As a tree of good fortune, it has also been used as a "Kadomatsu (a pine tree used at New Year's)," and has been a highly prestigious design since the Heian period (794-1185).

The fan is considered one of the motifs of prosperity and good fortune because of its shape of spreading out, meaning "bright prospects for the future. It is considered a good omen, and is an auspicious pattern that wishes for development and prosperity.

The gourd, with a spreading end, has been considered a good-luck talisman since ancient times in Japan to "ward off misfortune" and "ward off evil spirits." Traditional Japanese good luck charms are filled with the thoughts and wishes of our ancestors, which have been passed down through the generations. Japanese people have incorporated gourd-shaped plates and chopstick rests into their daily lives with the wish of "good health."

The set of small plates comes in a fancy red and white gift box, further reinforcing the festive atmosphere. It is truly a great gift idea.
