Toso is a traditional Japanese New Year's drink believed to ward off evil spirits and bring good health to the family. It is made from a blend of five to ten herbal medicines, known as tososan, which are soaked in sake or mirin. The ingredients vary by region, and in modern times, unflavored sake is often enjoyed as toso.
The sake cups are versatile and can also be used as small bowls for serving delicate dishes or appetizers. Placing them on a larger plate can add an elegant and sophisticated touch to your dining presentation.

White
White carries the essence of purity, cleanliness, and sophistication. White tableware's achromatic simplicity and reflective nature blend seamlessly into any setting, enhancing table design with a modern, clean charm and creating a feeling of spaciousness and light.
In Japan, shiro iro, white color, is held in high esteem, symbolizing sanctity and divinity. This color permeates Japanese culture, from the revered white horses and deer, symbols of auspiciousness, to the soft, snow-like petals of the Unohana flower praised by the poets of the Heian period (794 CE - 1158 CE).
Usuki ware is known for its charming soft white color. You can also find beautiful white porcelain pieces, such as the sake carafe from Kinzan Kiln, and the Arita serving plate with a plum blossom knot design.
Sake Sets
When preparing to savor delicious sake, it’s important to consider the sake set as well. Sake is a delicate drink whose flavor changes depending on temperature and exposure to air. To enhance your experience, select a sake cup and carafe that complement both the unique qualities of the sake and your personal taste.
