Description

This charming Tobe ware long plate features a bouquet of beautiful flowers in gentle hues of green and light blue.

Subtle colors decorate the blooming flowers painted on a white porcelain canvas. Small dots painted in gold are scattered, adding a discreet accent to the overall design.

Higashi Kiln employs a unique technique called washi-zome. Colors and designs are added to the unglazed surfaces using Japanese washi paper. This technique adds a watercolor-like softness to the floral patterns which creates a pleasant atmosphere on a table.

This plate is 32.3 cm (12.7 in) long and is ideal for serving salads, cut fruit or slices of rustic bread. Its length and slight depth also make it a great item to serve a main dish for a meal with family and friends.
