Gingado Aluminum Half Moon Ikebana Flower Vase

JPY ¥12,400

Only 15 pieces in stock!

This is an ikebana flower vase made of aluminum, crafted using the traditional technique of Takaoka copperware. The upper side is a silver-gray color and adorned with harmonious ripple-shaped decorations, evoking the ambiance of a Japanese garden. The sides finished in a textured matte black achieve a striking contrast.

This vase comes with a kenzan, a metallic flower frog to set flowers and greenery. Even those new to ikebana will be able to create artistic floral arrangements by fixing blooms onto the needles of the small-sized kenzan.

Each piece is handmade using the sand casting technique, where metallic bases are made by pouring hot metal into hardened sand molds. This traditional technique has been handed down in Takaoka City for over 400 years. The process necessitates tremendous skill that can only be amassed through many years of experience.

For over 400 years, Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture has been at the forefront of Japan's metal industry and has become the heartland of the copperware industry. Within this rich heritage, Gingado emerges as a distinguished interior and lifestyle brand.

Gingado offers a range of products that blend modern designs with time-honed craftsmanship, tailored to contemporary lifestyles—from everyday use to ceremonial gifts. Leveraging the skills and techniques of Takaoka-based designers and artisans, Gingado brings traditional craft into the modern home, ensuring each piece resonates with both history and functionality.

NOTE:
-Place on a leveled surface
-Handle the kenzan with care as the tips are very sharp
-Remove the kenzan from the vase before handling or transferring
-To avoid scratches, do not slide the vase on any surface
-After use, gently rinse with water, and wipe well with a soft cloth
-Use diluted dishwashing detergent and rinse with water to remove stains
