Hatsukaze Suruga Bamboo Basketry Wind Bell

This wind bell is a combination of Suruga Bamboo Basketry and Nambu Ironware, a traditional craft of Iwate Prefecture in the Tohoku region.
The wind bell is hung from the top of the bamboo craft with metal fittings.
By using bamboo strips around the wind bell, a refreshingly cool interior is achieved.
Hanging wind chimes are good, but in a room, a wind bell placed on the tables is also convenient. When placed in a breezeway or blown by an air conditioner or fan, the beautiful and cool tone of the ironware, which is different from that of glass, is soothing and comfortable.
The wind bell can be easily removed, so it makes a wonderful interior decoration for hanging mascots or accessories in seasons other than summer.
Please note that this product is lightweight, so it may topple over if the wind is too strong. Also, please do not leave it outside, as bamboo is vulnerable to rain.
To care, please wipe dust and dirt with a soft brush and a squeezed dish towel. Do not wash it in water or hot water. Use in a dry, well-ventilated place to enhance the natural luster unique to bamboo.
Suruga Bamboo Basketry is a traditional bamboo craft with a history of over 400 years, made in the area around Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It was designated a national traditional craft in 1976.
A single craftsman uses their skills to assemble the bamboo strips one by one. The moist, smooth, and delicate curves create a calm and soft moment as a favorite daily tool and an interior decoration.
