This Japanese Furoshiki features a pattern designed by Yumeji Takehisa, a famous painter of portraying women in the Taisho era(1912-1926). Yumeji's works are characterized by the bold patterns and nostalgic colors. His art clearly shows how this kind of modern design was popular back in the Taisho era.
The strawberry pattern is printed in quiet colors. The interesting patterns and the balance of colors in this Furoshiki reflect the sense of Yumeji, who is known as a pioneer of graphic design in Japan.
