This is a ramen bowl (regular size) in the beautiful colors of Shino ware, with soft colors such as brown and green mixed in with the white.
Shino ware is a type of Mino ware that was fired in Mino (Gifu Prefecture) during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573-1603) using a white glaze. This ramen bowl is also fired with a lot of white glaze. The glazed areas are speckled and the unglazed areas have a rough texture.
This is a standard ramen bowl in Japan. It can be used for all kinds of noodles, including Udon and Soba.
