This gift set brings together the craftsmanship of Tsugaru Vidro from Aomori Prefecture and Wakasa lacquerware from Fukui Prefecture.
Featuring a delicate cherry blossom design, the handles are painted in an attractive deep red or green hue. The moment you hold the chopsticks in your hand, you can truly appreciate the quality of authentic craftsmanship.
Tsugaru Vidro is known for its beautifully colored glass and advanced glassmaking technology. They are highly valued and have been designated as a traditional craft of Aomori Prefecture.
These glass chopstick rests are inspired by the image of apples, a specialty of Aomori, where the glass factory is located. Each piece is carefully handmade with nature's splendor in mind, from the shape and color to the minute details.

Origin
Wakasa lacquerware is one of Japan’s leading production centers for lacquered chopsticks. Originating in Obama City, Fukui Prefecture, Wakasa lacquered chopsticks have a history spanning approximately 400 years and currently account for over 80% of domestically produced lacquered chopsticks in Japan.
These chopsticks are crafted using a unique technique that embeds abalone shells and eggshells in lacquer, creating shimmering ocean-inspired designs. While preserving traditional artistry, they are also designed for modern practicality.
