Description

This Japanese furoshiki wrapping cloth features a pattern designed by Takehisa Yumeji, a famous painter of portraying women in the Taisho era (1912-1926 CE). Yumeji's works are characterized by bold patterns and nostalgic colors. His art clearly shows how this kind of modern design was popular back in the Taisho era.

This furoshiki is based on the color of a flower called yamabuki (Japanese yellow rose), and has a lovely combination of red flowers and black cats.

The small size of 48cm (18.9 in) can be used for wrapping small items, lunch boxes, kitchen cloths, and handkerchiefs.

The material is 100% cotton, which has a reasonably firm texture and is easy to make a knot in.

It will be great to wrap gifts for someone who loves unique items and Japanese art.
