These chopsticks are decorated with gorgeous abalone shell inlay that is typical of Wakasa lacquerware. The colorful and dynamic iridescence of the mother-of-pearl covers a large part of the chopsticks, making for an exquisite statement piece.
The chopsticks are comfortable to hold and easy to use, and are recommended for daily use. The design is also perfect for inviting guests or as a gift. They are made of dishwasher-safe lacquer and are easy to care for despite being authentic lacquered chopsticks.
They come in blue or pink, and are available in different sizes. Please choose the one that best suits your needs.
They are made by Ishida, which has been making Wakasa lacquerware for more than eighty years. Wakasa lacquerware is a traditional craft of Obama, Fukui Prefecture that has been around since the early Edo period (1603 CE–1868 CE).
