This large tray showcases the beauty and versatility of aluminum by combining an artfully designed aluminum tray with a black aluminum base. This combination offers both visual appeal and functional utility.
The top tray is designed with a "shippou" pattern which is made of parallel circles of the same size overlaid one quarter on top of one other, resulting in a continuous combination of diamond-like shapes and petal-like shapes. It signifies peace, happiness, and prosperity of offspring with its endless chain of circles.
The robust aluminum black base has been given a matte finish, making it suitable for any interior decor. Its surface is adorned with an attractive marble-like pattern that has been formed by shallow random imprints.
This tray is big enough to hold a teapot and two small teacups. This is an excellent item to use when serving high-quality Japanese green tea to guests. Serve appetizers or small desserts on small plates on this tray to create a modern, stylish table setting. You can also use the top tray and base separately.
As the surface of the top tray is very smooth, we recommend not moving the tray when there are items on the tray.
The top tray and the black base both come with round urethane rubbers on the four corners on the back side to prevent slipping and scratching, and to make them easier to lift from flat surfaces.

Maker / Brand
ALART is a brand created by Marushin Kinzoku Kogyo in 1947, when the company began a new search. The brand pursues the possibilities of aluminum based on the concepts of original ideas that break free from stereotypes, design that enhances the creativity of the user, and creative craftsmanship.
Origin
Metalwork has long been prized for its durability and gorgeous appearance. In Japan, bronze swords and harnesses were made from the Yayoi period (10th century BCE–mid-3rd century CE) based on techniques introduced from China and Korea. With the rise of Buddhism, the construction of temples, Buddhist statues, and ritual implements flourished, and metalworking techniques also advanced. Eventually, a wide variety of products such as tea ceremony utensils, Japanese swords, armor, and ornaments came to be manufactured.
