Arita Porcelain Lab Japan Blue Pearl Blue Bowl

USD $71

A bowl that brings calmness and serenity to the table.

This  bowl is colored in a soothing pearly blue color on the inside and a clear white on the outside. This bowl is deep enough to hold any kind of soup or stew. You might want to use it in the morning for porridge or a leafy salad with bright green colors at night.

The bowl has just the right weight and has flattened edges so as not to spill your food. The slightly grainy texture of the bowl gives it the warmth and comfort felt in handmade tableware.

This is an item from the Arita Porcelain Lab's signature series called Japan Blue.

While preserving the traditional style of Arita Ware, the blue tones are arranged in a modern way, and each piece is individually brushed by craftsmen to create an incomparable elegance. Many of the designs are arranged with traditional auspicious designs, making the tableware suitable for the modern dining scene.

ABOUT ARITA WARE

Arita Ware, made in the town of Arita in Saga Prefecture, is the oldest porcelain production area in Japan's history. Arita porcelain is characterized by its translucent white porcelain surface, dyeing using "Gosu" (indigo pigment), and gorgeous red painting using glassy overglaze pigments (red, green, yellow, purple, and blue). The pottery is highly durable and is produced in a wide variety of styles, from fine art to daily necessities. It was exported to Europe, where it was prized as fine art and called "white gold".

Arita Ware is also a prestigious brand that is admired by ceramicists from other regions as a representative porcelain production area.
