Description

This charming Tobe ware kobachi bowl features a beautiful flower in gentle light blue color.

The subtle color decorates the blooming flower painted on a white porcelain canvas. Small dots painted in gold are scattered, adding a discreet accent to the overall design. The detailed design of the rim adds to the floral motif of this kobachi bowl.

Higashi Kiln employs a unique technique called washi-zome. Colors and designs are added to the unglazed surfaces using Japanese washi paper. This technique adds a watercolor-like softness to the floral patterns which creates a pleasant atmosphere on a table.

The kobachi bowl has a diameter of 13.4 cm (5.3 in) and is perfect for serving small salads or cut fruit. The lower rim makes it an ideal bowl for children to eat yoghurt or oatmeal in the morning.
