Despite the elegant feel of the handle, its shape and name have an intriguing origin. The body of the mug boasts a beer stein shape, offering solid weight and stability. Also, HP stands for half pint, signifying that when filled to the brim, the mug can hold about half a pint (approximately 237ml or 8oz) of your preferred drinks.

The slender handle is easy to grasp, complete with an elegant thumb rest. The mug's mouth is angled for comfortable sipping, and the bottom features a slightly elevated base that casts a subtle shadow around it.

The black variant has an overall matte texture, whereas the white one boasts a glossy clear glaze on the inside, ensuring an easy-to-clean finish. Unlike many other USUKIYAKI pieces, this piece is crafted on a potter's wheel and then delicately trimmed by craftsmen.
