These chopsticks are decorated in gold with the akebono “dawn” motif. This word is also used to signify the beginning of a new era or when a new situation is about to unfold. The upper part is coated with urethane resin and the bottom part with lacquer and is dishwasher-safe.
These chopsticks have a beautiful glossy texture and their non-slip tips make it easier to grip food items, even slippery foods such as noodles.
Showcasing two colors—blue and red—and each in a different size, the chopsticks offer a modern design suitable for daily use or when entertaining guests. Presented in a paulownia wood box, they make a great gift and are perfect for personal enjoyment.
These chopsticks are made by Ishida, which has been producing Wakasa lacquerware for over eighty years. Wakasa lacquerware has been a traditional craft of Obama City, Fukui Prefecture since the early Edo period.
