This oval bento box is just the right size for one person and is crafted using traditional Yamanaka lacquerware techniques. The dividers make it easy to serve, look beautiful, and prevent the flavors from mixing with each other.
It is made with a technique of coating black and red lacquer and then polishing a part of it to show the color underneath, which gives a unique texture to the piece.
Nunome is a lacquering technique in which a cloth is applied to the wood, and lacquer is applied on top of the cloth to bring out the pattern. This technique is stronger and more durable than ordinary lacquering.
Its timeless traditional design is suitable for long-term use, daily use or when entertaining guests.
