Description

This Japanese bowl features a delicate painting of a bird perching on the Sakura branch. A traditional Japanese pattern is drawn around it, making it a gorgeous bowl.

It is hand-painted by brush, using Japanese coloring paint which is one of the remarkable features of Kutani ware, as you can see the painted part is slightly thickened.

The size is suitable for serving any side dishes such as Sunomono(vinegared food), Aemono(Seasoned or sauced food) or Nimono(simmered food). Or you may use it as a salad bowl or a soup bowl.

It is full of beautiful Japanese motifs, such as Sakura (cherry blossoms) and traditional patterns are highly recommended not only for everyday use, but also for entertaining guests and as gifts.

    Sakura

Japanese cherry blossoms, or sakura, are an iconic symbol of the spring season. Blooming at first bud by bud, then all at once, they drape Japan’s parks and avenues with delicate clouds of white and pink. Ephemeral, the blossoms fall quickly, reminding us to be in the moment and appreciate each day. Their beauty is celebrated across Japanese art and adorns traditional crafts. Discover the tableware and decor that will bring these graceful flowers into your own home.
