Arita Porcelain Lab Japan Autumn Gold Flower and Bird Kobachi Bowl
Hundreds of years of skill and technique are carefully crafted in this hand-size small bowl in golden yellow. The design is arranged with traditional auspicious patterns, making the tableware suitable for the modern dining scene.
The sides of the bowl are shaped like the petals of a flower giving the bowl an elegant look. Items with distinctive curves such as this bowl are made by first making a base by pressure casting and then carved by skilled craftsman to give the final refined touch.
The inside is decorated with traditional Japanese motifs. The bamboos represent strength, the Japanese pampas grass represent vitality and the peonies are meant to cast off evil spirits. This auspicious pattern is frequently seen on Arita ware and is given a contemporary makeover with a color combination of gold and golden yellow.
You can use it to plate Japanese style appetizers or a small salad. Upgrade a scoop of vanilla ice cream using this delicately designed bowl for dessert.
This is an item from the Arita Porcelain Lab's signature series called Japan Autumn.
In "Japan Autumn Series", beautiful Japanese autumn leaves are expressed in gold and burgundy tablewares. Each gold color is individually brushed by a craftsman to achieve a tranquil feel. Burgundy, a subtle hue created by layering multiple colors, is a deep color reminiscent of autumn leaves and brings a calm elegance to the dining table.

ABOUT ARITA WARE
Arita Ware, made in the town of Arita in Saga Prefecture, is the oldest porcelain production area in Japan's history. Arita porcelain is characterized by its translucent white porcelain surface, dyeing using "Gosu" (indigo pigment), and gorgeous red painting using glassy overglaze pigments (red, green, yellow, purple, and blue). The pottery is highly durable and is produced in a wide variety of styles, from fine art to daily necessities. It was exported to Europe, where it was prized as fine art and called "white gold".
Arita Ware is also a prestigious brand that is admired by ceramicists from other regions as a representative porcelain production area.
