Quality is superb. They look better in person than in the photos and feel wonderful. They are very heavy, which takes some getting used to, but they also retain the heat very well which keeps the tea warm. Also, the lip is very slightly curved out and feels good to drink from. Since it has no handle, at first it was hard to deal with because the cup was so hot. Then I discovered I was using water that was way too hot for the tea. At the right temperature, the little lip makes carrying it easy (once you get used to the weight).
