A beautiful Japanese oval plate from a series of “Hamorebi”, meaning sunlight leaking through the leaves, is hand-painted by female artisan Ms. Chie Sakurai.

Each piece is hand-painted by brush, using Japanese color paint which is one of the remarkable features of Kutani ware, as you can see the painted part is slightly thickened.
