The base of this placemat is made of a combination of aluminum and resin materials, a robust, high-tech material produced in the Hokuriku area, the northern part of Japan. On the back side of the placemat, there are four rubber stoppers on each corner to prevent the placemat from slipping and to avoid the placemat from damaging any surfaces.
