This donabe rice cooker is made from Banko ware, providing superior heat conduction and retention. Its premium smooth black lid, adorned with a chrysanthemum design, adds a touch of traditional Japanese elegance.
The size is suitable to cook up to two rice cooker cups (two gou*), which is equivalent to 300 g (10.6 oz). *A "gou" is a rice cooker cup, and one gou is equivalent to 150 g (5.3 oz). The amount of water used will be 1.1 to 1.2 times the amount of rice.
This rice cooker features a ceramic-coated base, works flawlessly on any induction cooktop, and delivers even, precise heating on open flame stovetops as well. The double-lid structure prevents spillage, and all you need to do is turn off the heat when you see steam—it's that easy to make perfectly cooked rice.

Crafts
Yokkaichi Banko ware—commonly known as Banko ware—finds its origins in the crafting of ceramics ranging from everyday tableware to flower vases. Today, it is best known for its donabe, or Japanese clay pots, valued for their durability and excellent heat retention. Around 80 percent of all donabe produced in Japan are Banko ware, making them an essential tool for home-cooked meals.
