Why MUSUBI KILN?
Here at MUSUBI KILN, we offer high-quality Japanese tableware and home decor, handmade by artisans and craftspeople right here in Japan. A wide range of styles, producers, artists, and more gives you many options to broaden the horizon of someone interested in Japan gifts, or find gifts for Japanese people living overseas. With the long-standing traditional techniques and fascinating stories, as well posts highlighting top gift ideas from Japan, each of our items is a unique option for Japanese-style gifts.
The act of gift giving in Japan often includes a unique style of gift wrapping—the furoshiki. Whether you're purchasing for yourself or picking up a Japanese gift set, we gift wrap all purchases with a Japanese-style wrapping cloth, all made in Kyoto. In Japan, the gift furoshiki is reusable, you can easily save the furoshiki from your package to add an authentic touch to any other Japanese gift ideas.

Designed with Japanese traditional colors and patterns, the MUSUBI KILN greeting card is a distinctive way to convey your best wishes for the occasion. With cards for events like birthdays, weddings, holidays, and more, a personal message accompanying your Japanese gift sets allows you to express your feelings to the recipient.

At MUSUBI KILN, we proudly curate a selection of handcrafted tableware, any of which are the perfect option for a traditional Japanese gift. The items we offer are chosen based on the unique characteristics of handmade items as well as their quality.
Most of our products are dispatched within 5 working days, with international shipping through JAPAN POST, DHL, and FedEx, ensuring prompt delivery. The delivery time for DHL and FedEx shipments range from 2 to 5 days. We maintain an issue rate of less than 0.01% with international shipping and have a dedicated customer service team for any inquiries or assistance.

Can you remove the price tag from the product?
Price tags and invoices with prices are not included in the box. However, for shipments of items exceeding USD1,800 by DHL or using EMS, the price may be listed on the invoice enclosed at the back of the shipping slip.
Can you wrap each item individually by furoshiki?
Free furoshiki wrapping is only available for order units. If you wish to wrap the products individually, please purchase a separate furoshiki cloth and wrap the products yourself. Furoshiki wrapping is much easier than paper wrapping. You can find a guide here. In Japan, it has long been believed that a knot can contain the thoughts of the person who tied it. Please tie the knot while imagining the recipient!
Is it possible to specify the delivery date?
Due to the congestion in the global logistics network, no international shipping company accepts a specific delivery date. If you want the gift to be delivered on a specific date, the most reliable way is for you to pick up the item once and hand it over to a local carrier that accepts a specific delivery date. At that time, you can add a handwritten message card to the gift to make it a truly unforgettable gift for the recipient!
Can arrangements be made to ensure that the recipient does not have to pay import duties as it is a gift?
No, we cannot do that. We regret to inform you that any applicable import duties are the responsibility of the recipient and are collected at the time of importation. When purchasing items as gifts, we recommend designating your own address as the shipping address to prevent the imposition of import duties on the recipient. For further information, please refer to the detailed guidelines provided here.
